Terry Rozier scored 31 points and P.J. Washington added 27 to propel the Charlotte Hornets to a 122-117 victory against the visiting Miami Heat on Sunday.
Rozier and Washington both shot 11 of 19 from the field, with Rozier draining five 3-pointers.
Gordon Hayward contributed 20 points and LaMelo Ball had 19 points, seven rebounds and seven assists as the Hornets won for the fourth time in their past six games.
It was just the third win in the past 13 home games for Charlotte, which has won consecutive home games for the first time since early December.
Jimmy Butler poured in 28 points, Tyler Herro had 24 and Bam Adebayo provided 17 points for the Heat, which had a three-game winning streak end. Kyle Lowry added 11 points.
The Hornets won despite 19 turnovers and 15-for-40 shooting on 3-pointers.
Miami built an 11-point lead in the third quarter, buoyed by a pair of 3-pointers from Herro.
The Hornets got back in it, however, when Washington scored eight straight points later in the quarter as part of an 11-0 run and Charlotte went ahead 83-81 on Rozier's 3-pointer.
Washington scored 15 points in the third quarter as Charlotte surged to a 91-86 edge going to the fourth.
The Heat trailed by 12 points with 5:54 remaining at 106-98 and sliced the deficit to just two after a 10-0 run spanning two minutes. But they never got any closer.
Miami led 62-58 at halftime, boosted by 55.8-percent shooting from the field. Butler had 16 points, with 12 for Herro and 11 for Adebayo.
The Hornets were hurt by 11 turnovers before the break, diminishing some of the impact of their 51.2-percent shooting. Charlotte took 22 of its 41 field-goal attempts from beyond the 3-point arc, making six. Hayward and Rozier both had 15 points.
The Heat played the first game of a four-game road trip in a seven-day span.
