Atlanta point guard Trae Young sat out the Hawks' Monday night game against the host Portland Trail Blazers due to right ankle soreness.
Young was initially listed as questionable for the contest before later being downgraded to out.
Aaron Holiday made his fifth start of the season in Young's place.
Young played 36 minutes on Saturday in Atlanta's 120-113 setback to the visiting Los Angeles Clippers. He scored 31 points for his second straight 30-point effort.
Young, 24, has recorded four straight double-doubles and five in his past six appearances.
A two-time All-Star, Young is averaging 27.2 points and 9.9 assists in 45 games this season, his fifth NBA campaign.
